NORTHERN BC – THE FIRST 900
Starting at Dawson Creek you’ll want to fill up and head North towards Taylor and Fort St. John. Make sure you take the right (mile 21 or KM 33) and check out the original wooden Kiskatinaw Bridge. Be mindful of industrial traffic on the road through Taylor, Fort St. John all the way to Fort Nelson. North of Fort Nelson be prepared for moments that will surely your breath away. You will want to fill up at the latest by Coal River or Fireside. Northern British Columbia is much larger than one initially thinks.
YUKON – LARGER THAN LIFE
Enjoy the road as it weaves in and out of BC to Watson lake and the Sign Post Forest. There are many Motorcycle friendly places such as the AirForce Lodge. Fuel up in Watson lake and Teslin. onto Whitehorse is a good paced ride. Be sure and take in the wildscapes along the road. Whitehorse has some amazing Mexican Cuisine!
From Whitehorse a nice day trip is down to Carcross and Skagway. Up the Alaska highway is Haines Junction. the road from Destruction Bay to Beaver Creek is a section that needs caution. Be sure to stop at Buckshot Betty’s!
ALASKA – THE LAST FRONTIER
The pavement gets better in Alaska … Tok to Delta Junction up to Fairbanks is paved. There are many many trails and dirt roads to explore,
I want to ride to Prudhoe Bay, but not on the Cross Country..
