You can possess and use recreational marijuana if you are 19 years or older. Age limit may vary by province.
Retail
Provincially licensed cannabis retail stores may sell small amounts of cannabis to recreational users of legal age. Cannabis may also be purchased through federally regulated online stores.
Possession
You can posses or share up to 30 grams of cannabis outside the home.
Travel
You may travel, including via air, with cannabis within Canada as long as your are within the legal limits. Be careful not to cross international borders if you are carrying cannabis.
Public
Consuming cannabis in public is typically restricted to the same rules as tobacco – you may not consume cannabis in playgrounds, schools, or any public areas used by children.
Driving
Driving under the influence of cannabis is illegal – consume responsibly. Cannabis must be in a sealed container and inaccessible to any passengers.

You can posses up to 1 oz of cannabis outside the home.
Travel
It is illegal to travel with cannabis. You cannot take it on a cruise, ferry or airplane. It cannot be transported out of state.
Public
Consuming on public lands, cruise ships or hotel lobbies is illegal. Check wiuth your accommodations or tour providers to see if cannabis use is permitted in private areas.
Driving
Driving under the influence of cannabis is illegal – consume responsibly.
